June Xu, an emerging artist based in Houston, Texas, seamlessly blends her Chinese heritage with Texan influences, creating a captivating fusion of cultural artistry. Born into a family of skilled jade sculptors in China, June's artistic journey has been a mesmerizing exploration of tradition and innovation.

Growing up amidst the rhythmic chiseling of jade, June developed a profound connection to her family's traditions. However, when she settled in the diverse and dynamic cultural landscape of Houston in 2000, she found a new palette for her artistic expressions.

June's work is a unique blend of her Chinese roots and Texan surroundings. She takes elements of Chinese art and symbolism and weaves them with the vibrancy of Texan culture. The result is a distinctive body of work that resonates with local and global audiences.

In her paintings, and mixed-media creations, June explores themes of identity, heritage, and cultural interconnectedness. Her paintings are a vivid fusion of colors, capturing the essence of Texan culture while incorporating Chinese symbolism to tell captivating stories
